Wellness Luncheon Slated For April 27th
(Apache Junction, Ariz.) – It was announced today that
Empowerment Systems’ Annual Power of Wellness Luncheon will be held at the
Phoenix Biltmore on April 27, 2017. This is the organization’s 7th
annual luncheon event, celebrating partnerships with other organizations in the
delivery of charitable community programs and services. Jack Beveridge, Empowerment Systems’
President and CEO cited as examples the Empowerment for Life Foundation’s
annual holiday turkey distribution to needy low income individuals and
families. In partnership with the United
Food Bank, the turkeys were distributed as part of the monthly Healthy Harvest
fresh produce distribution at Empowerment Systems in Apache Junction. Another
partnership is the Alliance For Community Health Centers’ support for the
Navigator Program that assists people in need of benefits such as AHCCCS,
KidsCare and employment assistance. Empowerment Systems also operates the
Greater Valley Area Health Education Center and the Az Living Well Institute,
supporting healthcare workforce development and Chronic Disease Self- Management
Education programs. Jack expressed
gratitude and appreciation for the many local community volunteers, donors and
partner organizations that support these programs. The Power of Wellness
luncheon on April 27th is a celebration of Empowerment Systems’
charitable activities and recognition of the partner organizations that sponsor
them. In addition to sponsor
recognition, the luncheon offers an entertaining program, gourmet meal,
networking opportunity, raffle and silent auction. As a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit tax exempt

2016 AJ Holiday Turkey Raffle A Huge Success
(Apache Junction, Ariz.)
–The Empowerment For Life Foundation,a local non-profit charity, raffled off over a hundred turkeys to qualified, low income individuals and families last week. The Foundation is an affiliate of Empowerment Systems, Inc. and a Qualifying Charitable Organization, making donations to purchase the turkeys eligible for a state tax credit.
With assistance from the United Food Bank and Safeway stores, the holiday turkeys were distributed as part of the monthly Healthy Harvest fresh produce distribution at Empowerment Systems. Jack Beveridge, Empowerment Systems President and CEO expressed gratitude and appreciation for the donations and many local community volunteers that help with Healthy Harvest every month, especially the support of the Superstition Mountain Rotary Club, Arizona Public Health Association and Imagine East Mesa Elementary.

Get-Out-The-Vote is an initiative to help the community members get to the polls on or just before Election Day. PAFCO and and a number of non-profit AZRHA members are also working to get the word out and gather signatures on the petition to put the Quality Education & Jobs Initiative on the ballot in the next election.
This initiative renews the one cent sales tax to replace cuts in education and healthcare funding, including KidsCare. It also contains guarantees that voters’ wishes will be honored.
